  1. I’m glad I stumbled upon it. It reinforces some points I made in earlier posts of mine about Japanese learning. Honestly, I appreciate the use of kanji despite the drawback of not knowing the character’s pronunciation. For me, writing is for conveying meaning and kanji fulfills that purpose. I think of a crosswalk sign with a little figure of a man. If I saw that, I would know it’s safe to walk across much sooner than if I saw “WALK”.
